Welcome to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church
Constitution Review Page

This page makes the congregational constitution available from the website for the convenience of our members and other interested parties. Visitors can use this page to access and view the files containing the constitution directly, or to download those files to their computers to review or print out at a later time.

Emmanuel:
"God With Us"

First of all, make sure your system can open Adobe Acrobat files. At the bottom of this page are two links, one for viewing or downloading the file containing the cover page and front matter to the Emmanuel Lutheran Church constitution, and one for viewing or downloading the file containing the constitution itself. To protect the integrity of the information in those files and make them readable no matter what kind of computer you may have, the files are in Adobe Acrobat format (.pdf files). To open them, you will need to have the Adobe Reader, a free program designed for this purpose, installed on your computer. If you don't already have Adobe Reader installed on your computer, click here to go to the Adobe website, then follow the instructions there to select, download and install the version of the program appropriate for your system. It's free -- just download it and install it, then come back here.

Second of all, be aware that different web browsers handle file downloads differently. Only true computer geeks (and I use that term with the utmost reverence) understand fully why this is so and your humble webmaster only generally understands it. But, your browser controls how you interface with the downloading process and there's nothing your humble webmaster can do about that.

This page was optimized for use with later versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you run a recent version of that browser you should be able to open the selected file and view it in the browser simply by clicking on the appropriate link, below. (Remember, you must have Adobe Reader installed.) Or, you can right click on the link to the file and select "Save target as" to download it to your computer system and store it for viewing or printing later on. Be familiar with how your browser handles the process of viewing or downloading files and look for options to either open the file or save it when you click on the link. If you use Netscape, you may have to hold the SHIFT key down while clicking on the link to download the file. MAC users may have to click and hold on the link to the file, then select download.

Whew!! Aren't you glad that's over with? Here are the links:
